Following on from the success of 2012’s fan funded album We Created A Monster, Yashin are winding up for a huge 2014.
We Created A Monster was recorded by Justin Hill (Taking Back Sunday, Young Guns) and self-released in June 2012 with fan funding through Pledge Music. The album included the singles New Year or New York, Make It Out Alive which featured as Kerrang! and Scuzz TV video’s of the week. 3rd single Runaway Train was released later that same year and on the back of TV and Radio play (BBC Radio 1 live lounge, XFM etc…) was voted number 5 in the Kerrang! reader’s poll best songs of 2012. The band also received a nomination for the Kerrang! Best British Newcomer award and the album featured in the Kerrang! top 100 albums of the 2012.
Over the course of the last year they have played main support to Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, and Black Veil Brides across the UK, and Europe as well as many high profile festival appearances at Download Festival, Novarock, Pukkelpop, and Vans Warped Tour UK.
The band’s “We Created a Monster” Headline tour in November 2012 proved to be a huge success with sell out shows all over the UK including Manchester Club Academy, London Underworld, Glasgow o2 ABC. They will be heading out to Europe on the Goldkinder Tour with “We Butter The Bread With Butter” in October 2013.
